臺灣空軍人員軍事英語之需求分析

在台灣軍事英語所受到之注目與相關投資的金額差距頗大。此研究之英文需求分析主旨為探究臺灣空軍人員軍事英語的語言需求。一旦確認了空軍人員的英語需求，便能於將來研究檢視及加強現今課程中教學指導及內容。本研究運用量化及質性的方法進行一個包括二個階段調查的分析。第一階段先對軍事領域的專家作線上調查，以建立一份真正的任務清單。第二階段是對空軍軍職人員進行由第一階段調查結果綜整後之問卷調查。此研究受測者包含一群110位曾有在美軍售受訓經驗或國內軍售儲備的空軍軍職人員，以及一群105位沒有軍售相關受訓經驗的空軍軍職人員。在訪談部分，從二組受測者中分別選岀各7名的志願者參加深入訪談。本研究採用5級的李克量表問

卷與半開放式訪談兩種工具。本研究量化結果顯示兩組人員最常執行的是閱讀技令(簡報)，最困難的是會議內容口譯，最簡單的是聆聽一般對話。首先，根據調查結果即使有義務執行任務，缺乏培訓會影響沒有軍售經驗的人員溝通的意願。其次，沒有軍售經驗的人員覺得每項的任務對他們來說都非常困難。此外，這兩組人員都有遇過非語言因素的難題，包括在正式場合和心理壓力、術語和跨領域的部份及文化差異。最後，對四種語言技能的需求，結果顯示語言需求具有多向性和複雜性的特點。本研究為專業英語課程的教師提供了一些實際軍用英語任務的有用資訊，為負責決策的主管提供了方向，更希望為將來有意從事軍職的人作好迎接挑戰的準備。
